Description

Located in the heart of the city of San Jose, California, The Living Center was developed as a safe, accessible and friendly place for people living with HIV/AIDS and others to meet and learn from each other as well as meet with service providers.

The Living Center invites HIV Positive Men and Women to:
Attend educational workshops, support groups, art activities, community groups, fun classes, and social activities.
Meet with other HIV positive people in a clean, sober, comfortable and safe environment.
Enjoy complementary therapies (yoga, aqua chi, massage, etc.).
Learn about resources available in the community and receive services from local providers.
Use our client phone and explore the internet on our community computers.

At The Living Center you will find:
A welcome mat, a cup of coffee and a bowl of soup for all HIV Positive men and women.
ADA accessibility and Spanish-speaking staff.
Plenty of parking available and accessibility by public transportation.
Service animals are welcome.

The Living Center needs some very special folks to volunteer!
If you have a few hours a month to give to the HIV/AIDS community, and would like to spend them in a warm, wonderful place, please contact The Neil A. Christie Living Center at (408) 971-0852.
We need Volunteers to:
Do light housekeeping.
Greet people as they come in the door.
Fix things at the Center - We need a "handy man or woman."
Give individual instruction on computer basics; teach our clients to use email & surf the web.
Do you have talents you could share with us?
Teach an Art class? Massage? Qi Gong? ESL? Typing? Journaling? Exercise? Tai Chi? Dance? Make-up? Movement? You tell us what you can do and we'll make a place for you!
