About

The Bechdel Test (coined by Alison Bechdel in her 1980’s comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For) asks three simple questions:
Are there two women in the story?
Do they ever talk to each other?
About something other than a man?

This original improv show created by Lisa Rowland puts multidimensional, fully fleshed-out, and complicated female characters at the centers of stories. Exploring an unconventional storytelling style and with a mostly female cast, the BATS crew aims to break out of stereotypes often served up in mainstream film and television.
